About The Artist:
I consider myself, above all other things, a storyteller. Whether a story is visual, oral, or written. My delight comes in bringing worlds to life. Not just the worlds in my own mind’s eye, but those waiting to be explored in others’. I want viewers to feel. I want them to see, to hear, and more than that, I want them to truly be present in the world they’ve ventured into. While that might sound somewhat pretentious and quite a lofty goal, it is one to which I dedicate my entire craft.
As an assistant professor of digital art and animation, an illustrator, and writer, I see no true boundary between any of these domains. Irrespective of the medium, a story is a story. It is said that “A picture is worth a thousand words.” Similarly, a novel is an inner universe solely created in that mind’s eye and a moving picture is an escape into a dream both visceral and true.
I am all of my work; both the good and the bad. And while at times it can feel as if there is more of the latter than the former, I believe each piece is a step in the right direction. At my core I am an artist and a storyteller with Progress and Expression as my tenets.
Please come and watch. Please come and listen. And more than that, please come and learn. For I am here to discover and take away just as much as you are. Welcome! My site is being rebuilt with old and new artwork mixed in together. Come back soon for all new 2-D animations, character/ environmental designs, and illustrations that I promise will offer ventures and realms not yet explored. I thank you for visiting and I welcome you. -Jeff

Show Synopsis:
“Memories connect us to a specific moment in time. Not necessarily an hour or a year, but to a feeling. Emotion and memory are so closely linked that a feeling can catalogue an important moment better than even a recording could. Because of the emotion tied to a memory, we truly understand why that specific moment in time was so important to us. . . Whether that moment provides us a moment of solace like in The Market, or is a pause for reflection like in Sunset Revelry, each piece in Time and Memory is a window into a particular moment of that subject’s life. . .“

Black and White Design Work:
A Chronicle of Time and Movement, 2016-2017
Graphite and pen and ink digital reproduction
5.25” x 8.25”
Limited edition. Prints 1 of 3
A study in design and over-embellishment. A series of moments play together gripping the page in an ornamental display of expanding spirals, twisting angles and shifting circles that continue passed the border of the canvas. Line work swells and folds with momentum meant to show the viewer that they have caught a singular moment of a design in motion.
